When I first arrived in Australia, I began collecting things on my daily walks: seeds, seed pods, leaves and pieces of tree bark.
Working in local gardens brought me closer to nature. Spending time with these materials, I began to feel freer to explore and create.
As I slowly found my own rhythm here, I gathered what I had collected into a Christmas tree. Making it became a way to celebrate the season in a way that felt like my own.
Looking back, I can see how much I was growing, too.
